SeisPrho: An interactive computer program for processing and interpretation of high-resolution seismic reflection profiles
نویسندگان
چکیده
SEISPRHO is an interactive computer program for processing and interpreting high-resolution seismic reflection profiles developed using the Delphi/Kylix multiplatform programming environment. For this reason, it is available under Windows and Linux operating systems. The program allows the users to handle SEG-Y data files (and other non-standard formats) carrying out a processing sequence over the data to obtain, as a final result, bitmap images of seismic sections. Some basic algorithms are implemented, including filtering and deconvolution. However, the main feature of SEISPRHO is its interactive graphic interface, which provides the user with several tools for interpreting the data, such as reflector picking and map digitizing. Moreover, the program allows importing and geo-referencing maps and seismic profiles in the form of digital images. Trace-by-trace analysis of seismic signal and sea-bottom reflectivity is also implemented, as well as other special functions such as compilation of time-slice maps from close-spaced grids of seismic lines. SEISPRHO is distributed as public domain software for non-commercial purposes by the Marine Geology division of the Istituto di Scienze Marine (ISMAR-CNR). This paper is an introduction to the program and a preliminary guide to the users. & 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Constrained Seismic Sequence Stratigraphy of Asmari - Kajhdumi interval with well-log Data
Sequence stratigraphy is a key step in interpretation of the seismic reflection data. It was originally developed by seismic specialists, and then the usage of high-resolution well logs and core data was taken into consideration in its implementation. The current paper aims in performing sequence stratigraphy using three-dimensional seismic data, well logs (gamma ray, sonic, porosity, density, ...
متن کاملAn Improvement in Temporal Resolution of Seismic Data Using Logarithmic Time-frequency Transform Method
The improvement in the temporal resolution of seismic data is a critical issue in hydrocarbon exploration. It is important for obtaining more detailed structural and stratigraphic information. Many methods have been introduced to improve the vertical resolution of reflection seismic data. Each method has advantages and disadvantages which are due to the assumptions and theories governing their ...
متن کاملUnderground contour (UGC) mapping using potential field, well log and comparing with seismic interpretation in Lavarestan area
Coastal Fars gravimetry project in Fars province was carried out to find the buried salt domes and to determine characteristics of faults in this area. The Lavarestan structure was covered by 4203 gravimetry stations in a regular grid of 1000*250 m. Depth structural model of this anticline made in previous studies was based on geological evidences and structural geology measurements. In order t...
متن کاملSynchrosqueezing-based Transform and its Application in Seismic Data Analysis
Seismic waves are non-stationary due to its propagation through the earth. Time-frequency transforms are suitable tools for analyzing non-stationary seismic signals. Spectral decomposition can reveal the non-stationary characteristics which cannot be easily observed in the time or frequency representation alone. Various types of spectral decomposition methods have been introduced by some resear...
متن کاملAnalyzing the Illumination and Resolution in Seismic Survey Designing
Seismic modeling aids the geophysicists to have a better understanding of the subsurface image before the seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation. In this regard, seismic survey modeling is employed to make a model close to the real structure and to obtain very realistic synthetic seismic data. The objective of this study is to analyze the resolution and illumination of the fault by...
